1. Introduction

Welcome to CZero Engine Desktop Application. Your privacy is important to us.
This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information for the desktop application distributed on Steam.

Please note: this policy applies only to the CZero Engine Desktop Application.
If you use the CZero Engine WebApp or visit our website, please refer to our separate Web Privacy Policy.

2. No Data Collected or Transmitted

The CZero Engine Desktop Application does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information.

No Personal Information: We do not ask for or gather your name, email, address, or any identifiers.
No Telemetry or Analytics: The app contains no analytics or tracking software.
No Crash Reporting (by default): No crash logs or error reports are sent automatically.
No Third-Party Ads or Trackers: No advertising, no third-party SDKs, no hidden data collection.

In short: everything you do with the CZero Engine Desktop Application stays on your device.

3. Local Data and Storage

All data generated by the application is stored locally:

User Settings and Preferences are saved to your computer only.
Your Content (themes, workflows, documents) remains on your machine.
Temporary Files and Cache never leave your device.

Uninstalling the application removes all stored settings and data, except for files you explicitly saved.

4. Steam Integration and Steam Workshop

The CZero Engine Desktop Application interacts with Steam services only as needed:

Steam Account: Used solely for licensing/authentication. We do not access your Steam credentials.
Steam Workshop: If you choose to publish or download content (e.g. themes, workflows), the upload/download is handled by Steam.
- Workshop submissions are public and associated with your Steam username (per Steam’s terms).
- We do not access, collect, or store Workshop data.
Other Steam Features: Playtime stats, achievements, or cloud saves (if enabled) are handled entirely by Steam.

5. No Sharing of Personal Data

Since the application does not collect data, no data is shared, sold, or disclosed to any third parties.

The only exception is when you choose to share data:

Uploading to Steam Workshop (handled by Steam).
Contacting us directly (via email or support).

6. Children’s Privacy

The CZero Engine Desktop Application is not directed at children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided information (e.g. via email), contact us and we will delete it.

7. Future Features and Consent

As of the date above, the application collects no data.
If in the future we introduce features such as crash reporting or analytics:

They will be optional and opt-in only.
They will be disabled by default.
We will update this Privacy Policy and notify users before collecting any data.
Only minimal, anonymized data would be collected for diagnostics.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Because we do not collect or store personal data:

Access/Correction: There is no personal data to access or edit.
Deletion: Uninstalling the app removes local data. If you contacted us directly, you may request deletion of those communications.
Opt-Out: Nothing to opt out of, unless you had enabled a future opt-in feature.
GDPR/CCPA: We hold no personal data on users. If you submit a rights request, we will confirm that no data is stored.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as needed. Updates will include:

A new “Last Updated” date.
A summary of changes (in release notes or announcements).
If major changes occur (e.g. introducing data collection), we will notify users directly.
